Explore Abstracts I

Playing and Creativity

To me the concept of playing is intrinsically linked to creativity.

Since 2015, when I started teaching online courses, I have had numerous requests for a course with an abstract emphasis.

The idea of developing a course where the focus is not on something representative but more intuitive and playful appealed to me, so I've explored this concept further.

I've made time to experiment and play with colour combinations and forms, as well as creative techniques and processes in acrylic paint and other media. There is so much to learn when one is open to create in a different way to your established patterns.

These playful art making experiments have resulted in the development of a six week long course starting next month and I would love to share what I've learnt.

Early Bird Registration Open!

Explore Abstracts I runs from 18 September to 30 October. The course consists of six modules of five projects each. These will be released daily from Monday to Thursday with a larger weekend assignment every Saturday.

The course can be done during this time or at your own slower pace with a full twelve months’ access to the course material, until end October 2024!

An exclusive class group in Facebook will be available as a space to share your work, ask questions and see what others on the course create. This is optional, but a great way to enhance the learning experience.

The Early Bird offer is now live, grab your 15% discount offer before it expires on 31 August or make use of the split payment option available.
