"I think that at a child's birth, if a a mother could ask a fairy godmother to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift would be curiosity."

Arboretum

As a teacher of online courses I am always in awe of what students create in the courses where we start from the basics and explore all kinds of possibilities.

Understanding colour and developing a stronger sense of colour is a focus in Arboretum as is paint techniques and creative processes.

In this in-depth course there are three modules with four experimental projects each, building up to a bigger weekend artwork assignment. The course ends with an additional special project, incorporating the different techniques and processes learn in the course.

Have a look at these gorgeous outcomes created in 2022 from the three modules. Colour moods ranging from warm tropical to moody blues and dreamy layered colours.
